The performance of light guide rods directly determines the lighting effect, stability and service life of LED lamps. Many lamp manufacturers and purchasers often face problems such as uneven light emission, rapid yellowing, and low light efficiency caused by inferior light guide rods. First of all, material purity is the primary selection index of light guide rods. High-quality light guide rods must use 100% pure optical-grade raw materials, without recycled materials and impurities. Impure raw materials will cause internal light scattering, resulting in reduced light transmittance, local dark spots, and accelerated yellowing. Excellent light guide rods adopt professional micro-prism precision etching or laser dotting technology on the surface, with uniform and fine texture distribution. The density and depth of the surface dots are precisely calculated through optical simulation to ensure consistent light output at each position of the rod body, no bright edges and dark areas. Inferior light guide rods have rough surface texture, uneven dot distribution, and random light output, which will cause obvious flickering and uneven brightness of lamps, affecting the user's lighting experience.

 

In addition, dimensional accuracy and structural stability are key factors affecting lamp assembly and use. High-quality light guide rods have precise dimensional tolerance, smooth and burr-free cutting sections, good fitting degree with lamp structural parts, and no assembly gap. At the same time, the rod body has good straightness and bending resistance, and will not deform or shift after long-term installation. For special-shaped lamps, customized light guide rods need to ensure consistent optical performance at bending and special-shaped positions to avoid local light loss.

Finally, anti-aging and environmental protection performance cannot be ignored. Qualified light guide rods have passed international environmental protection certifications, containing no harmful substances, and meet global lighting product safety standards. They have excellent UV resistance and thermal stability, adapting to long-term use in different climatic environments. Purchasers should prioritize products with complete quality inspection reports to avoid batch quality problems of lamps caused by unqualified light guide rods.
